Scoot Quilt and Bedding

This is a project that has been on my mind for a long time. I spent hours going through patterns online and at quilting shops trying to find the perfect quilt for Gavin. Once we got settled here, I decided to go for it.

I’ve known for a while that I wanted to use the Scoot line from Deena Rutter (designing for Riley Blake). It’s totally adorable and I have the matching digi paper that I plan on using for some wall art. It’s an older line so that means the stores aren’t likely to have it in stock – I found that was the case here in Vernal. One online fabric store and two Etsy shops later, I had what I needed!

Isn’t it so cute?!

I made a fitted crib sheet and a pillow case from the light blue fabric – I did both in an afternoon.

I had enough time before the kiddos got home from school to start on the quilt. I found the pattern at my new favorite hang-out, The Moda Bakeshop. I ended up putting a strip of Minky fabric in place of the embroidered name.

The store that did the actual quilting put the same Minky on the back. I love it. And Gavin likes to rub his whole face against it because it’s soft.
